Between the canary and the fish, your company must have been impressed.Eulalia Benejam Cobbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13247079657985430691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2226876762714358061.post-4400179220470859032012-09-26T15:50:34.296-04:002012-09-26T15:50:34.296-04:00My betta was named Yul Brynner for the silk robes ...My betta was named Yul Brynner for the silk robes he wore in The King and I. Yul the Fish first met his reflection when I was cleaning the canary's cage and sat the mirror beside his bowl. Oh my! The flare of fins was magnificent!! I saved this "trick" only for when we had company, "Come meet my glorious betta fish!" Sadly, like the real Yul Brynner, his flowing robes have stilled.Marty Watsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06299946612759066132noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2226876762714358061.post-71961740000797343722012-09-20T12:11:15.606-04:002012-09-20T12:11:15.606-04:00I look forward to meeting Salome tonight.I look forward to meeting Salome tonight.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2226876762714358061.post-87577152711283883522012-09-17T19:25:50.989-04:002012-09-17T19:25:50.989-04:00Jaimie, I wish I'd known about Bettas in my of...Jaimie, I wish I'd known about Bettas in my office days! Yours did quite well, if it lasted for two years. They helped to soothe me at my hectic desk...and the others in the office also stopped by several times a day for a break to stare at him. We also had one at home, but not for a while now...he died, and my husband was heartbroken...I was so sad for him (my husband) that I haven't had the nerve to get another. He was called Fishy, until my then young niece questioned "Squishy?" as she tried to say Fishy while making a tiny hand gesture, balling her fist and squeezing her fingers in and out. We all laughed, imagining her testing Fishy's squishiness had she been allowed..and decided the name fit better. He lived about two years!Jaimiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10475656498180906020noreply@blogger.com
